HOW EMS WORKS
Stimulating the Pelvic-Floor Muscles
Electromagnetic pelvic-floor stimulation uses electromagnetic energy to produce repeated contractions in the pelvic-floor muscles while you remain seated and clothed. The purpose is to stimulate muscle activity in an area that plays an important role in bladder and bowel control.
The treatment is one option for people exploring pelvic-floor support. For urinary incontinence, recognised guidance also recommends approaches such as supervised pelvic-floor muscle training and, where appropriate, bladder training. EMS should not be presented as a replacement for medical assessment or established care.

AREAS WE CAN DISCUSS
Conditions Associated with Pelvic-Floor Weakness
Pelvic-floor problems can affect bladder or bowel control, recovery after childbirth or prostate treatment, and other aspects of pelvic health. During a consultation, we can discuss your symptoms and whether our service may be appropriate for you.
Urinary Incontinence
Leakage may occur with coughing, exercise or other activity, with a sudden urge to urinate, or through a few symptoms.
Postpartum Pelvic-Floor Weakness
Pregnancy & childbirth can place significant strain on pelvic floor. It may incur changes in bladder or bowel control.
Post-Prostate Surgery
Urinary leakage can occur following prostate surgery. Pelvic-floor rehabilitation is an important part of recovery and continence.
Faecal Incontinence
Difficulty controlling bowel movements can be associated with problems affecting the pelvic floor muscles or anal sphincter.
Erectile Dysfunction
ED can have a range of possible causes. Pelvic-floor function may be one factor considered when assessing men's sexual health.
